This home is the largest of our two rental homes. It is draped with sunlight from the exquisite floor-to-ceiling windows, providing guests with amazing views of the Pender Harbour entrance.

Directions

By Car, Boat, or Float Plane

There are three ways to arrive for the start of your Henry Addresses vacation: by car, by boat, or by float plane. Each option offers a unique experience.

Arriving by Car (Ferry from the South)

If you come by ferry, you can come from West Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay Terminal. Travel 40 minutes by ferry to arrive at the Sunshine Coast’s Langdale Terminal. Your drive from Langdale will be about 90 minutes, with a beautiful journey through Gibsons and Sechelt, along winding roads.

Driving from the Langdale Ferry Terminal:

  1. Follow the Sunshine Coast Highway (you will pass Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay and Madeira Park).
  2. At the Petro Canada, turn left onto Garden Bay Road.
  3. Follow Garden Bay Road and drive past Garden Bay Lake.
  4. Continue driving straight past Sinclair Bay Road, past Claydon Road, and past Lyons Road.
  5. Turn left onto Pool Road (continue to the left, past the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, and up the hill as the road turns into Panorama Drive).
  6. At the top of the hill, stay to the right and continue along Panorama Drive until you reach 5063 Panorama Drive or 5065 Panorama Drive.
  7. If you pass the house, it’s ok as Panorama Drive is a loop! Simply continue following Panorama Drive until you loop around again.
Arriving by Car (Ferry from the North)

If you travel by ferry south from Powell River, you’ll arrive at the Earl’s Cove Ferry Terminal. After disembarking the ferry, Garden Bay is a 25-minute drive south on the Sunshine Coast Highway. Then turn left on Garden Bay Road (at the Petro Canada gas station) and continue along our winding Garden Bay Road, into Garden Bay. A highlight is sparkling Garden Bay Lake, one of the area’s four freshwater lakes.

Driving from the Earl’s Cove Ferry Terminal:

  1. Follow the Sunshine Coast Highway South (past Ruby Lake and the Pender Harbour Golf Course).
  2. At the Petro Canada, turn right onto Garden Bay Road.
  3. Follow Garden Bay Road and drive past Garden Bay Lake.
  4. Continue driving straight past Sinclair Bay Road, past Claydon Road, and past Lyons Road.
  5. Turn left onto Pool Road (continue to the left, past the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, and up the hill as the road turns into Panorama Drive).
  6. At the top of the hill, stay to the right and continue along Panorama Drive until you reach 5063 Panorama Drive or 5065 Panorama Drive.

Arriving by Boat

If arriving by boat, consult Charts 3535 and 3512. Our GPS coordinates are: Latitude: 49° 37.9’N    Longitude: 124° 2.02’W

Once you’ve entered the harbour continue straight into Hospital Bay. Please call our marina office on 66A for moorage details, which we will have pre-arranged for you.

If you have additional guests that would prefer to stay overnight on their boat during your stay, please have them arrange for overnight slip moorage with access to power and amenities within John Henry’s Marina & Resort.

Arriving by Float Plane
Guests arriving by float plan are treated to spectacular views of the entire coastline in a short amount of time. Scheduled service is available through Kenmore Air in Seattle; otherwise all other float plane service is by charter. Depending on your location, potential charter providers include: Harbour Air, Seair Seaplanes, Corilair Charters, Ocean Air Floatplanes, and Sunshine Coast Air. 

Bookings made for the 5063 property have the ability for float plane access via the private dock. If you’re interested in arriving by float plane, please call us at 604.657.9373 to coordinate your arrival.

Maximum Occupancy

This house has a strict maximum occupancy of 8 people, including children. But not infants up to 1 years old.

If we find, at any time, that more than 8 people are staying in the house, your entire group will be asked to leave and the fees & taxes paid will be retained. No refund will apply, regardless of the length of stay.

Applicable Taxes

All bookings are subject to Federal and Provincial taxes. The Federal Tax is 5% (GST) and the Provincial Tax is 10%.

Booking Confirmation

A 25% deposit (excluding taxes) is required within 2 business days of booking;  A current credit card must be provided to guarantee the balance.

The balance of the booking, including taxes, is payable in full 15 days prior to arrival

Cancellations

Once a booking has been confirmed, and deposit paid, a $100.00 cancellation fee applies. This fee is deducted prior to the confirmation deposit returned;

Travel insurance is always recommended to deal with any potential cancellation issues.

Cleaning Fee

A $250 cleaning fee is part of the reservation total and is not returned to guests at the end of the reservation.

COVID-19 Protocols

We have revisited our standard house & cottage cleaning routines to ensure we protect our guests and our staff.

Some of the enhanced cleaning routines we’ve established include additional focus on the following:

  • Deeper than usual cleaning
  • Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, using medical-grade disinfectant products;
  • Disinfecting all soft porous surfaces, like sofas, rugs & drapes;
  • Washing all linens at the highest possible heat;
  • Guest arrival and departure routines will also change to provide for social distancing.
  • Houses will be vacant for 2 days prior to check-in.

This beautiful 4-bedroom and 4.5-bathroom home features
an open-concept layout on the main floor provides guests
with a state-of-the-art dining experience.

The large gourmet kitchen will delight gourmet cooks. Alternatively, if you’d like our chefs to provide one or more meals, they can be offered either on the dining room table (seats 10) or outside on the large outdoor patio that is over half the length of the main floor. Imagine a delicious, multi-course, relaxing long-table dinner complete with a spectacular Sunshine Coast sunset. If dining inside, the high wood-beamed dining and living room ceilings provide an open and relaxing environment to entertain family, friends, or colleagues.

The main floor Master Bedroom (Thormanby Room) is a private 2-storey get-away. Enjoy the private lounge upstairs to sit by the fire, watch TV, or just sit out on your own balcony. This bedroom can also be used by either the bride or groom to get ready for the day’s special events. In this room, guests can lay in bed looking out the large bedroom window, which offers expansive garden and ocean views. Upstairs catch up in your own private office or enjoy morning coffee on the large outdoor patio. In the evening get cozy and let the romance flow with a glass of wine by the upstairs fireplace. Getting ready any day is a luxury in this room. Take some extra time to enjoy the unique Ofuro Japanese soaking tub and calming rain shower.

Each of the three fully ensuite bedrooms are located downstairs. Each bedroom offers a perfect retreat. Guests can enjoy the harbour views from each walk-out private-patio. In addition each bedroom has a gas fireplace with additional seating area for indoor relaxation. The bathrooms in the Texada Room and Lasqueti Room have very large soaker tubs with a shower. The bathroom in the Nelson Room features a large walk-in shower, and a 2-person large soaker tub with “windows” that open into the bedroom.

Each of the houses at Henry Addresses offers luxurious sleeping quarters for up to 8 guests; additional accommodation is available if needed and we can assist with this request.
 
We can accommodate different celebration styles such as traditional weddings, vow renewals, and elopements. Our exceptional chefs are able to prepare spectacular meals and cater to smaller events with a guest list up to 30 people.
